General Information - The Elite Categories

  • This regulation defines the procedure and rules for holding the international competition for young pianists
    “The 2nd Carl Bechstein Piano Competition for Young Pianists (Thailand and Vietnam – Invitation)” in 2026 (hereinafter – the Competition).
  • The Competition is held once every 2 years.
  • The founder of the Competition is 101 Piano & Strings Co., Ltd. under    supervision of C.Bechstein Sales & Service GmbH.
  • The Competition is for Thai Citizen or who is residence in Thailand for not less than 2 years and Vietnamese Citizen or who is residence in Vietnam for not less than 2 years

Main objectives of the Competition

  • To acknowledge and develop the traditions of piano pedagogy, including:
  • Providing opportunities for new forms of performance.
  • Improving and expanding participants’ performance capabilities and repertoire.
  • Acknowledgement of gifted and promising individuals, leading to their professional development.
  • Celebrating the profession of piano pedagogy.

    “The 2nd Carl Bechstein Piano Competition for Young Pianists (Thailand)” in 2026 (hereinafter – the Competition) – The Rising Stars Categories.
  • The Competition is held once every 2 years.
  • The founder of the Competition is 101 Piano & Strings Co., Ltd. under supervision of C.Bechstein Sales & Service GmbH.
  • The Competition is for Thai Citizen or who is residence in Thailand
    for not less than 2 years.

Main objectives of the Competition

  • To acknowledge and develop the traditions of piano pedagogy, including:
